Our journey started in 2018.
Our story
During a fateful road trip to the beautiful church named Strandakirkja (seriously, it’s so pretty, you should check it out), Dave threw out the brilliant – and super original – idea to rent the expensive outdoor clothing needed for Iceland to people like you!
Sveinbjörn, who recently graduated from The University of Iceland went to work on a business plan and after many coffee breaks and discussions in the local public pool, they somehow managed to put this all together.
How these two got any work done at all, we’ll never know!
At first it was slow goings. We only offered hotel deliveries and kept the items at our own home. Sveinbjörn recalls getting a letter from the housing committee that the communal washing room was not to be used for ‘business related reasons’.
Do you need to rent items we don't offer?

You can come collect and drop off the clothes at our store down town at Laugavegur 51, we charge no extra or delivery fee for this option.
If you prefer, we also deliver and pick-up within the capital area. The delivery fee is 2.800 ISK and the pick-up fee is 2.800 ISK.
You simply choose the time and place you want the order delivered in the checkout field on our website. We will confirm the meeting point via e-mail, Whatsapp, Messenger, phone.. Whichever you prefer! We will then bring the items to the reception and you can pick them up whenever YOU like!
Yes we do! On Laugavegur 51, next to the restaurant Forsetinn. We will welcome you with a big smile on our face. That’s a promise!

We deliver to hotels/hostels or other places that have a reception within the capital area. From Hafnarfjörður to Mosfellsbæ. If you Google ‘Reykjavík’ you’ll get the picture.
So Selfoss, Keflavik, Keflavík Airport, Akranes, Hella and so on, are sadly outside that area.
We highly recommend that you book the drop off and pick up date with time to spare. But of course, we understand that an unexpected event can occur. Simply contact us through our e-mail or Facebook and we will do everything can to make the best out of the situation

We can pick up the items from your hotel. Just leave them at reception! We pick up anywhere in the capital area. The cost for pick up is 2.800 ISK.
You can also leave the items at luggagelockers.is Leave the items in one of the lockers, pay for 24 hours and send us the receipt! The lockers at BSÍ are open 24/7, but you can also use their other locations in Reykjavík. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS AT KEFLAVÍK AIRPORT LOCKERS.
You can also collect and return the clothes at Sand Hotel, more information on can be found in the info email you’ll receive.
If something happens and you arrive later or sooner than you expected, please contact us and we will make accommodations. The following cancellations fees apply:
Cancellations received more than 4 days prior to the date of a rental or activity: Full refund minus 2% transaction fee.
1 – 4 days prior to the date of the activity or rental: 50% refund.
Less than 1 day (24 hours) prior to the date of the activity or rental: No refund
Are you worried that the clothes won’t fit? We’ll try our best to bring more sizes for you to try on when we deliver. If there’s a size that you’re just not sure about, let us know and we’ll help you out! You can always come to the store and change sizes!
And if you collect in store then we’ll have a bunch of sizes for you to try on!
