We can’t recommend this rental enough! We visited Iceland from New Orleans (not exactly the same climate…) so we don’t own any of the necessary clothing to visit. They provided us with awesome parkas and pant covers that we wore everyday we were there. We 100% could not have hiked or done the things we did without them. We were warm the entire time. Customer service was amazing. We were running late to pick up our coats due to travel delays and they were very accommodating. He even talked to us for a bit to give us recommendations for food and sites while here. The coats were in great condition. When we come back to Iceland the first place we will go is IcelandCover to get our parkas. Book it.

I desperately needed some hiking pants, because the organizer of a tour told me on short notice, that going in jeans (which I planned to do) is "forbidden".The person renting out the pants was very friendly and because the shop is located inside of the tourist information they were very flexible with the return times. If you are on a tight schedule, just talk to these guys and they will probably figure something out for you regarding the return! I was very happy with that.I think renting the pants was a little pricey, but maybe that's just Iceland. The pants were in perfect condition (like new).

I cannot thank David and Iceland Cover enough for their services! We are returning from Iceland after 4 very rainy, cold days. We initially decided to rent their outer wear to save on our luggage allowance. What a pleasant and very necessary rental this was. The rain gear and hats were delivered directly to our hotel receptionist upon check in and picked up after we checked out. On every excursion we went on, we were by far the dryest and warmest tourists. Everyone asked is where we got our gear and I recommended Iceland Cover to them all. Not only is the rain gear waterproof and windproof. It was also warm. Our trip would have been very uncomfortable without this service. Like they say in Iceland. There is no bad weather here. Only bad clothing. Thanks Iceland Cover!!

THIS SERVICE IS GREAT, DAVID IS A GEM.I’d recommend this to anyone traveling from a warm place and didn’t want to invest in a coat they’ll only use for a week, OR anyone who just wanted to save room in their luggage to save on checking bags.First time in Iceland, the only thing we knew to expect was all kinds of weather. So the first stop out of the airport was the Iceland Cover location in Reykjavik where we got to be sure we ordered the right sizes. We ordered ahead online. I was wrong about the pants, but they had other sizes at ready. We ordered a parka and snow pants and they were *essential* on a trip that took us from walking on glaciers to boulder hopping in a lava tunnel.Iceland Cover kept our luggage light, our trip warm and dry, and all for an affordable price. David went above and beyond to be available and flexible for our trip’s changing itinerary.When we come back he’ll be our first call after we book flights.

Highly recommend! We rented hiking books from IcelandCover Outdoor Clothing company for multiple days. We asked for pickup / drop off at the hotel we were staying (Fosshotel Reykjavik) and they were happy to accommodate. The flexibility in our schedule was appreciated. Also, the boots fit perfectly and were so comfortable! It was so nice to save space in our packing by renting the boots… I wish I had rented more items (raincoat, rain pants etc.) and saved even more space / had an even lighter packed bag. Also, I had a hard time parting with my boots… I wish I could take them home! Most comfortable hiking boots I’ve tried and haven’t found anything similar in the US.

Excellent service from David, I forgot my rain gear and was scheduled to visit the Volcano. Luckily I came across IcelandCover they definitely saved the day. Rented a rain jacket and pants. David was available by Whats App and super helpful. They close at 8pm so no problem returning.

Highly recommended! We arrived in Iceland in the summer and brought light jackets but it was WAY colder than expected and lots of wind. We thought we would have to spend a fortune buying extra jackets but through Google found this company that rents jackets for very affordable price. I saw the website said generally 3 days notice is recommended but the challenge was we landed that afternoon and we were departing reykjavik early AM on our 8 day road trip. I emailed them anyway, and they responded right away and we're able to not only get us both big parkas to rent, but they dropped it off at our hotel on the same day we e-mailed within hours. So crisis and stress averted! Also, the prices are very affordable. They are super nice to deal with, and highly responsive, couldn't ask for more :)

Wow. Had such a great experience with Iceland Cover. Davio and team were amazing and accommodating. The jacket and shoes were really really nice (much more stylish than other clothing rentals I saw in town). So, function + style, hiking in the Icelandic countryside = big win!

IcelandCover is THE best! Would definitely highly recommend. Excellent customer service, truly above and beyond. Sveinbjörn and Davíð responded promptly to every question, helped advise on sizing, made helpful suggestions, adjusted easily to our change in delivery times, brought extra sizes to make sure of a good fit and even offered to be available for any questions about Iceland and our experience. It rained a lot on our two full days in Iceland and was much more enjoyable with our waterproof jackets, pants and boots. We didn't own any of this type of clothing and would have been so expensive to purchase for a family of four. Loved this option!

My husband and I rented parkas from IcelandCover for our honeymoon in Iceland. We are from the southern United States and definitely did not have the kind of outerwear that was crucial for an enjoyable time in Iceland. We hiked through rain, snow, and took a guided tour out on a glacier/through an ice cave. We stayed extra warm and dry the entire time thanks to our parkas. The fur hood was a particularly nice touch to keep your face from the high winds. Renting a parka was also beneficial for air travel - IcelandAir only allows 10kg for carry-on luggage and not having to pack bulky winter items was a huge help to stay under weight. We hope to return to Iceland one day and would definitely rent from IcelandCover again!

Before your trip to the amazing country of Iceland it is critical to have the right clothing and gear. Iceland is a micro climate and the weather changes hourly, no joking, clear and sunny, then sideways rain, chunky snow or sleet. You'll also need their gear to get up and close to (or behind!) the best waterfalls. The only way to enjoy your trip is to rent from IcelandCover, they offer what you'll need to stay warm and comfortable but most importantly, dry. We rented the coats and pants and couldn't have been happier. They delivered to our hotel, confirmed delivery, inquired about size fit (with replacements standing by) and picked them up from a completely different hotel at the end of our trip (at no add'l charge). Quality products with great customer service. The price is very reasonable as well. I highly recommend them! Enjoy your trip!

We didn't want to buy new clothes and wanted to save space in our suitcases, so IcelandCover was the perfect pick. We rented both the parka and the pants and got them delivered to our hotel right before our arrival. One of the pants were too large and they quickly sent me another pair to try on. Communication was fast and easy at all times. I highly recommend it for those who are looking to save space and money. And yes, you do need rainproof wear when in Iceland. Trust me :)
