Back in the day, Icelanders only counted two seasons: winter and summer.
It’s called ‘Norræna tímatalið’ (The Norse Calendar) and although we now use all four seasons, the old way of counting the seasons just makes sense here in Iceland.

So if you’re coming from October – March, then congratulations you’re coming in the winter!
